Bobbs-Merrill Co., 1960. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. A Mid-Century Stated 1960 edition of the original 1926 issue. Beautifully illustrated by Gruelle with glossy pages; Illustrations in color. Barely worn corners and spine edges. Very mild foxing to prelims. Half-title page has a small faint name (erased?) and a 1963 year at top margin. Pictorial UNclipped dust jacket (original price of $2.50 intact) mirrors the boards. Front and rear blueish/green blank end papers have faded. A Very Good or Better Dust Jacket has very tiny chips/creases at crown and foot of spine paper and rear red panel. An approx. 1" closed tear at top edge of jacket front panel (no paper loss). Rear jacket panel has a few scratches. A VERY lovely copy. Unpaginated. Mylar protected jacket. A Classic.
