London: Arthur L. Humphrey, 1912. [8], 64pp. Original publisher's soft green reverse calf wrappers, lettered gilt, with a decorative boarder stamped in blue, red, and black. Top edge gilt, fore and bottom edge untrimmed. Internally bright and clean, with a gift inscription 'Lizzie from Evelyn Xmas 1914' to the front marbled endpaper. Wraps a little worn and faded, and the spine sunned. A charming collection of 'Bensoniana' - quotes from his extensive body of work to date, in a luxury reverse calf binding E. F. Benson (1867-1940) was an extremely prolific English writer, completing over fifty novels, four novel series, short stories, plays, biographies, and other non-fiction works on subjects as varied as golf and grave digging. His last work, his third autobiography, was delivered to his publisher just ten days before his death. . First edition. Square 8vo.

Antiquates Ltd was established by Tom Lintern-Mole in 2007; we travel far and wide to buy, sell, and advise on rare books and manuscripts.
Concentrating on hand-press printing and early modern manuscripts, we pride ourselves on offering a varied selection of antiquarian works on a diverse range of subjects, leaning towards the interesting, the important, and the unusual.
We have a countryside bookshop in Wareham; we also regularly issue catalogues - do ask if you would like to be added to our mailing list - and frequently exhibit at regional and national book fairs in London, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Oxford, and York.
We also offer a valuation service (for either insurance or probate purposes), as well as advice on library development.
