New York: Jeffrey Richards, 1979. Four vintage photographs from the 1979 Broadway play, which originally premiered on December 2, 1979, at the New Apollo Theatre, running for 241 performances. Two photographs with printed mimeo snipes affixed to the versos, crediting photographer James Hamilton.

A gay man in 1930s Berlin is captured by the Gestapo and taken to Dachau concentration camp, where he forms a relationship with a fellow prisoner. One of the first major productions to discuss Nazi persecution of homosexuals, adapted for film by Sean Mathias in 1997.
