Much of his work was collected and popularized by Berenice Abbott, herself a noted American photographer who often exhibited with the likes of Man Ray and André Kertész. This work is a collection of Atget's photos, many from previously-unpublished negatives acquired by Ms. Abbott after the death of Atget. The photos provide a glimpse of Paris as it was at the turn of the 20th century.
