Hardcover. 605 pp + Index, i-xxi pp. Presumed BCE: stated first edition but with the Borzoi blind stamp on the back board; dust jacket, now heavily worn, was without a price on issue. Now in an archival cover. Offset between two pages from (?) newsclipping (no longer present). Otherwise a clean straight copy with mild tone and the former owners name penned neatly on the ffep. The book, first published in 1941, "was the first attempt by a big-name American journalist to shed light on what was really happening in Nazi Germany." It is is a first-hand account of the rise of Nazi Germany and its road to war. ; 8vo .
