A humorous memoir of a military wife in the early 1940s. Set largely in the Puget Sound area of Washington. Illustrated. Looks to be a former library book. The book has been exposed to some water, but remains tight and readable. Water stains on the pages begin to show up about page 100 (see photo #6). Hinge spit at the rear endpaper shows binding fabric. The gray fabric cover shows the tracks of long-removed tape and has worn through at the corners and some edges. The top rear edge shows where the water was, too. There is no indication of past mildew issues. This is a rare book.
