Paris: The Obelisk Press, 1946. Leather-bound. Near fine. Leather-bound. Octavo. 227pp. Bound in gilt stamped, full-leather by Maurin. t.e.g. 1946 edition with wrappers bound-in. Nice binding has minor rubbing to spine tips and corners. Wrappers are nicely preserved, though paper is toned. The novel was first published in New York by Covici in 1934 and in England in 1935. It was judged indecent in England and suppressed. Later English language editions were published in France by the Obelisk Press, starting in 1936.
