Poems by Paul Eluard accompanied by 87 original etchings by Roger Chastel. Folded sheets with tissue guards, printed on Lana's vellum. Including an etching covering the full covers, front/back/spine. In a very good, heavy card chemise with large letter spine title. Chemise and plates are housed in a matching, good, heavy card slipcase with wear to all edges. All plates are clean, bright, and unmarked. A great copy of this scarce title. With a copy of the French art publication, Derriere le Miroir, No. 17, February, 1949, 2nd edition. The entire 8 page issue is dedicated to Le Bestiaire. .
