Book has slight wear on bottom edges and a little tanning on endpapers and at bottom of one page. Dust jacket is fine except the rear panel has the price of $2.75 marked out and 3.75 written below. Clean and straight.

Willie Newbury Lewis." Octavo; xv, 244pp. Beige cloth-covered boards with brown lettering and cowboy / horse illustration. Missing dust jacket. Boards a bit edgeworn with some smudges and toning to cloth. Front board opens shakily, but is holding. Binding is sound and pages unmarked. A prior printing was issued by publishers then withdrawn due to rampant typos, with only 25 or so copies issued. This edition, printed in an edition of 1000 copies, is thus commonly accepted as the First Edition, with a 2000 copy second printing issued shortly after. [Six-Guns 1331; Herd 1330].
