Book #7 in the girls' series of 26 books orig. published 1934-1955 featuring the adventurous Beverly Gray, starting when she was a college student & following her through her career as a reporter. Orig. published in 1937, this is a slightly later printing of the First Edition, listing only to the next book in front matter. Thicker hardcover has green cloth-covered boards with darker lettering to front & spine, in 251 pages + 4 pages of ads in rear, with glossy frontispiece. Condition is VG: very clean, pages creamy white with modest tanning to edges. Binding secure, hinges intact. Former owner's name & date (1944) on ffep, else unmarked. Modest rubbing to extremities, mild bumping to all corners & both ends of spine, mottling to top outside page edges. No DJ.
