Powers has historically refused to sign books. A slipcased edition of Orfeo was signed on a bound in page in 2014, and there was a signed edition of The Overstory, also signed on a bound-in page. This is the first Powers to be signed on the title page. Signed bookplates and tipped in half-titles have been seen with the U.S. edition, but the UK is the only one signed on the title page.
