Full morocco, rebacked, retaining most of the original covers and spine. Gold lettering to front cover and spine. Raised bands. All paper edges red. Later marbled endpapers, and modern fly leaves. Main title within decorative frame. Decorative head-, tailpieces and initials.

"Geneva version with Laurence Tomson's revised New Testament, and Junius' Revelation. This edition somewhat resembles the black-letter folio editions of 1592, 91, etc.. but the columns of print are four times longer. The title-border resembles that used in the folio Geneva Bible of 1583 and other editions, with the book inscribed "Verbum Dei...," etc. The initials however are changed to I R. The tablet below bears the words "Cum Privilegio Regiae Maiestatis." The New Testament title page bears a headpiece and a small ornament." (See Darlow and Moule No. 270).

Sporadic foxing throughout. Lower part of the map of Caanan repaired at verso. Lower corner of the leaf containing the "The names and order of all the Bookes" and the full-page engraving of Adam and Eve repaired, thus slightly affecting lettering and image. Lower corner and verso of The New Testament title page repaired and mounted on thick paper. Title page of "The Whole Booke of Psalms" mounted on thick paper. "The Whole Booke of Psalms" with upper part of pages water-stained, fore-edge partly repaired, and lacking the last 9 pages. Binding in overall good+, interior in fair to good- (The Whole Booke of Psalms) to good and very good condition.
