Tissue between book plate and title page is very foxed, with creased corners. Other pages creased. Pen and pencil marks on FFE. Old and worn brown paper bag book cover. We have placed a clear archival cover over that. Worn brown cloth covered boards. Due to paper bag book cover, we're unable to make an accurate assessment. Dented corners. Worn spine ends. Loose binding, text block twists. Exposed cheese cloth in hinges. Intact pages. Exposed stitches between page signatures. Beautiful pen and ink drawings, maps and diagrams throughout. From the title page: "The four gospels consolidated in a continuous narrative, presenting the life of Christ in the order of its events; the text arranged in sections; with readings and comments selected from the choicest, most illuminating and helpful thought of the Christian centuries." 683p.
