Full contemporary calf with five gilt-ruled spine compartments; gilt-tooled titled in second compartment. Gilt-ruled borders on each board. One center clasp. Marbled endpapers. Former owner's name on blank leaf following front free endpaper: Matje. Broodman. States-General version. Engraved title page, with Acte van consent, dated 1832, on verso. New Testament and Psalms have separate title pages dated 1837. Without the Apocrypha. Followed by: Het Boek der Psalmen, dated 1837. Circular stamp at upper corner of 3rd leaf and on last page: Bybel Genootschap. In Fair Condition: both boards are detached but present; front free endpaper, engraved title page, and following leaf detached as a unit; 3 cm. along lower edge of engraved title lacking; back free endpaper detached but present; creasing of some page corners; text block is otherwise solid.
