The binding is slightly bumped with some light spotting to the front cover & a few small stains & tiny marks to the rear cover. The spine is a bit darkened with its titling somewhat faded. 454 pages. illustrated with 4 black-and-white plates, including a portrait frontispiece & 3 facsimiles. There is some minor soiling & foxing to the edges. The pastedowns & endpapers are unevenly darkened. Very good.
First edition.
