No dustwrapper, old damp-marking to red boards and some fading to spine, but black titles thereon are still clear, those on front board are rubbed but still readable. Some bumping to spine ends and corners, original owner's name on f/ep, but otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. Contains six stories by the author, two of which were filmed. The titles are: "Big Brother" (fimed as a silent in 1923 starring Tom Moore and Edith Roberts: and as a talkie, "Young Donovan's Kid" in 1931 starring Richard Dix, Jackie Cooper and Marion Shilling), "The White Brant", "Recoil" (filmed as "The Recoil", a silent in 1924 starring Mahlon Hamilton and Betty Blythe; and as a talkie, "White Shoulders" in 1931 starring Mary Astor and Jack Holt), "The Obvious Thing", "The Talking Vase" and "Too Fat to Fight". No publication date shown, but was originally published in 1923, this is a slightly later reprint. 319pp.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
