Sobre este artículo
New York: Macmillan Publishing Company, 1985. Facsimile Reprint. Cloth and boards. Very Fine/Fine. Maurice Sendak. 4to (11 1/2" x 7 5/8"), yellow 1/8th cloth with green lettering on spine over light green boards, illustrated throughout by Maurice Sendak with black line drawings, pictorial dust jacket (unclipped & protected by an archival clear polyester wrapper) depicting a man, woman, & shaggy dog looking at (their nephew Jack in the guise of) a mysterious bearded dwarf, yellow endpapers, ~ [62] pages. Maurice Bernard Sendak (1928 - 2012) was an award-winning major American illustrator and writer of children's books. He became widely known for his book Where the Wild Things Are (1963), a Caldecott winner, and In the Night Kitchen. Sendak also illustrated many works by other authors including THE BIG GREEN BOOK by the poet & distinguished historical novelist Robert Graves (1895 - 1985), who also wrote the occasional children's book. Summary: A little boy discovers a big green book in the attic that is filled with magic spells. Using them, he transforms himself as well as his aunt and uncle--making them nicer people. Originally published with Sendak's illustrations in 1962; this is a facsimile reprint of that now very scarce first edition in its original "BIG" size. SUPERIOR CONDITION: tight, bright, clean copy in a bright dust jacket (unclipped) with very slight rubbing.
