In the pictorial dust jacket, with periodic small closed tears and chips in the edges. Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper. The inscription reads, "For Peep and Bill / a big book for our / little kids, with all the / love in the world- / from Theresa & Jim, / Seattle / August, 1948 / 3rd of Author's 6 copies.
