Hodder and Stoughton, 1954. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1954. First Edition. 190 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth. Illustrated by Stead. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Pages are water stained and warped to edges, but the text is unaffected. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. A few dog-eared corners. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Boards rather rubbed and marked overall. Slight water staining to front and rear. Spine is noticeably sunned. Book has a moderate backward lean.
