There is also a black-and-white illustration to the title page and nine other black-and-white illustrations within the text by the same illustrator. Red coloured boards with black coloured illustration of a plane on the front cover with black coloured titles on the front cover and spine. Biggles and his friends and their second case for the Scotland Yard Air Squad. Softening of the back strip edges with bumping to the top book edges, the front edge of the rear panel and to the lower book corners. The book shows white coloured marking particularly to the rear panel and back strip edges. Light tanning and foxing of the text block edges with light age toning and the occasional foxing spots to the pages offset tanning, a few stains and foxing to the end pages. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges with a small piece missing from the top right hand corner of the rear panel. Small tears and creasing to the dustwrapper edges with very noticeable rubbing of the fold over creases and either side of the back strip.
