Sobre este artículo
London: Gollancz, 1965. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First UK edition first printing, A clean square copy. The boards are clean and sharp. The spine is straight with perfect gilt titling. The spine ends are lightly bumped. The text block edges have toning. The pages are crisp and clean, no creasing, spots, or tears. Feels very well bound and lightly read. Book in very good condition. The jacket generally a bit toned, more pronounced to the spine, with rubbing and small losses to the corners and spine ends. There is also small losses to the head of the joints. Overall a solid very good copy. Signed by author to the title page. More images of this book are available please contact us if you require them. A very good copy of this book that is difficult to find signed. "Harry Harrison / Brum '91" to title page. Comes with great provenance as this volume was obtained from the estate of Roger Earnshaw, SF collector, well known at British conventions and fandom, who often attended author signings. It is understood that this book was signed at the Twentycon signing Session on 19th July 1991, held at the Andromeda Book Shop, Birmingham. A nice addition to a Harry Harrison SF collection.
Sinopsis
Bill, the Galactic Hero is a satirical science fiction novel by Harry Harrison, first published in 1965. It is a retelling of the famous WWI anti-war novel The Good Soldier Švejk by Jaroslav Hašek, set in the future. The overall plot is most similar to Hašek's work, with the protagonist tricked into joining the army, and then sent on a succession of badly-organised adventures.
