Sobre este artículo

New York: Avon Books, 1975. First equinox printing. Paperback. Very mild rubbing to front cover, head and foot of spine. Very mild yellowing to pages. Crisp and tight copy. Very good (+).. Paperback yellow octavo with color illustrated cover. 185 pages; 20 cm. Abstract: He was just plain Bill, enrolled in a correspondence course for a career as Technical Fertilizer Operator down on the farm--until a recruiting robot turned his head with visions of bright nebula lights, snappy red uniforms--and a cup of deep-space knockout drops...and Bill suddenly found himself aboard the Empire Space Ship Christine Keeler, fighting the Empire's war against the lizard-like Chingers. But an act of accidental heroism won him the Purple Dart (and an all-expenses-paid trip to fabulous Helior, the aluminum-plated Sin City of the Empire)--and that's when Bill's adventure really began... Science fiction, American literature.

Sinopsis

Bill, the Galactic Hero is a satirical science fiction novel by Harry Harrison, first published in 1965. It is a retelling of the famous WWI anti-war novel The Good Soldier Švejk by Jaroslav Hašek, set in the future. The overall plot is most similar to Hašek's work, with the protagonist tricked into joining the army, and then sent on a succession of badly-organised adventures.
