Sobre este artículo

Biographie W.A. Mozart's : nach Originalbriefen, Sammlungen alles über ihn Geschriebenen; mit vielen neuen Beylagen, Steindrücken, Musikblättern und einem Fac-simile

Large octavo, 5.25 x 8.5 inches, pper boards recently rebacked; xliv, 702, 226 pages; very good condition. As in most copies, the large family portrait is lacking; all the other prints, facsimiles, etc are present..

This collection of family letters, journals, contemporary criticism, etc. was assembled with connecting text by Danish diplomat Georg Nikolaus von Nissen, the second husband of Mozart's widow, Constanze. She edited it for publication after Nissen's death. It remains one of the most important collections of primary source material on the composer.

I have over thirty years experience as a full-time bookseller, ten years as owner of a brick and mortar shop and twenty-one on the internet and at book shows. My particular interest is in books and other printed objects as agents or artifacts of social upheaval and cultural clash.
