Moderate interior foxing, contents otherwise clean, no markings; leaves slightly stiff but not at all brittle; binding & hinges firm. Reconditioned leather smooth & glossy w/ mild rubbing to spine edges; spine lettering a bit dulled but fully legible. 324 pp. LACKS frontis. plate; both internal portraits for this Volume One (of George Washington and of Major General Nathaniel Greene) are present.
