Sobre este artículo
San Francisco:: Elliot Publishing Company,, 1891.. First printing. Very Good. Original Lithotint. Folio (41.75 x 27.75 inches). Very Good Condition. Professionally restored. Rebacked on Rice Paper. A large handsome depiction of this coastal Washington Boom Town laid out on the shores of Bellingham Bay, and a particularly compelling example of the promotional power of the bird's eye view. It shows the town already much developed, but with many choice lots still unoccupied. A railroad line runs along the waterfront, the bay is busy with steam vessels, and a lumber mill and stands of conifers at the edge of town carry the suggestion of a great natural resource nearby. Fairhaven failed in its bid against Seattle to become the commercial hub of Washington, joining with Sehome, Whatcom, and Bellingham to form the city of Bellingham shortly after 1900. (Historical Atlas of the Pacific Northwest. Derek Hayes Pp 181) single sheet; rebacked
