Editor's introduction, preface to the revised edition, list of illustrations, list of maps, list of recommended books and index. The text is illustrated with black-and-white illustrations and maps. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with lighter blue coloured decoration – wraparound. Silver coloured titles and facsimile signature of author to the back strip. A wander through Jewish history. Rubbing and softening of the back strip edges; rubbing, bumping and a little fraying of the book corners. The panels of the book show rubbing and marking with quite noticeable darkening of the back strip. Tanning of the text block edges which also shows that few marks. The remnants of the glassine dustwrapper are attached to the paste-downs. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [6], VII - XIV, [2], 3 - 466 pages,. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
