II: xii, 375-843; coloured frontispiece plate and pictorial titles with tissue guards(by W. Woodhouse), 158 monochrome photo plates. Bound in variant buckram green cloth (see note below) with black lettering to front boards, green lettering to the spines, cloth a little frayed to the top and bottom of the spines, very good with a little general wear. Contents clean and tight, endpapers unmarked, no inscriptions, a little foxing to the contents page and/or first text page, just a few page within with foxing to margins, generally clean. Very good two volume set with light wear only. This is the standard variant which is smaller than the large paper edition. .
