A Near Fine copy with minor bumping to the edges; the second issue dust jacket (with letter on rear panel) is Near Fine with a few closed tears, slight nicks, and minor wear to the edges. The jacket is bright and unfaded.
Sinopsis
This book is a murder mystery set in Honolulu. Shelah Fane, the Hollywood star, has come to Hawaii to finish the filming of her latest movie. When she is stabbed to death in her beach house, Charlie Chan is called in to investigate. His movie-struck children are thrilled. Other characters include Shelah's wealthy suitor, her young protegee, a Hollywood fortune-teller, a young man from the Tourist Bureau, a beachcomber and an assortment of actors.
