Publisher's olive green cloth with gilt titles to the spine, 157pp. Publisher's original unclipped dust jacket designed by Peter Chadwick, with 36s. net price at the foot of the front flap. Inscribed and signed by the author. The boards are in very good + condition noting a tiny bruise to the bottom fore edge corner of the front board and slight There is light spotting to the top edge of the text block and a few spots on the fore edge that creep onto the fore edge margins. Internally, there are a couple of spots across the first couple of pages, otherwise the pages are clean and fresh. The book is inscribed and signed by the author to the front pastedown: "To Sally & Peter Wheeler and many thanks for your kindly hospitality. signed Geoffrey E Parker, 1972". The binding is firm and square. The original dust jacket is in very good + condition. It has a foxing spot in the "C" of BLACK, a spot with surface loss near the fore edge, a little rubbing along the joint with the front flap and rubbing at the tips of the top bottom edges of the front panel. Dr. Geoffrey E Parker (1902-1975) was a surgeon and British secret agent of the SOE, section F - Field name: Parsifal; Operational name: PASTRYCOOK; Documentary name / False ID: Henri Edouard MARTIN.
