A very scarce work on the Bantu people of Africa written by missionary and amateur ethnologist Dugald Campbell A very scarce work by missionary and amateur ethnologist Dugald Campbell. With 25 illustrations, collated and complete. Alongside chapters on Lufira Valley, Johnston falls, and Luapula, Campbell also observes the language, customs, and culture of those he interacts with. Campbell was a Scottish pastor who's missions in Africa have been described in his other works 'In the Heard of Bantuland' and 'Wanderings in Central Africa'. Undated. Dated using JISC from a copy held in the National Library of Scotland. In publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light rubbing to the boards and the spine. A little bumped to the head and the tail of the spine. Front hinge starting but firm. Foxing to the fore edge. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages bright with a few scattered spots. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
