Intriguing copy of this posthumous collection from New York poet, John Hall Wheelock (1886-1978).  From the library of Ima Honaker Herron (1899-1997), important literary critic from Texas, and the first woman to gain professorship at Southern Methodist University in 1927.  Herron studied under American literature scholar and SMU professor, Jay B. Hubbell (1885-1979).  Hubbell championed the work of Wheelock and wrote articles on the poet including the one offered here, which is from the South Atlantic Quarterly, Spring 1973.  He is also the dedicatee of this volume.
