Nice tight copy, no names or marks inside, appears unread. Heavy book and priced accordingly. ; 288 pages; Mary Heatherington ruled the men of her family with authority. She was kind, efficient and generous, provided they did what she wanted. But when David brought home Sarah from the ‘wrong end’ of the Fifteen Streets, she was gracious for a while. But when she noticed that Sarah brought life and laughter into the house, and was loved by all the menfolk, she realised that she could also be a threat to her dominion. .
