Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. For years Bella Fromm was one of the most prominent members of Berlin's social and diplomatic life. She knew all the important people in Germany, and kept a secret diary of their doings, intrigues, and conversations. This diary was dynamite, so she sent it abroad by diplomatic pouch, and recovered it when she escaped from Germany. Here it is. No other book gives such an intimate and graphic account of personalities, or such a detailed picture of the decadence and creeping terror which marked the transition of German society from a democratic regime to the new dark age of Hitlerism..
