This is the true first American edition and has been signed by James Ellroy to the lower portion of the full title page with his trademark squiggle in black felt tip pen. Housed in the excellent and colouful photographic dustwrapper with publishers printed price intact on front inside flap. Both the book and the dustwrapper remain virtually new and in very fine condition. Dustwrapper protected in a removable archival booksleeve to preserve its condition. Political noir as only James Ellroy can write it. A lovely example of another excellent novel from the author of the classic L.A. Confidential !. Signed by Author. First Edition. Sinopsis
James Ellroy was born in Los Angeles in 1948. His L.A. Quartet novels— The Black Dahlia, The Big Nowhere, L.A. Confidential, and White Jazz —were international best sellers. His novel American Tabloid was Time magazine’s Best Book (fiction) of 1995; his memoir, My Dark Places, was a Time Best Book of the Year and a New York Times Notable Book for 1996. His novel The Cold Six Thousand was a New York Times Notable Book and a Los Angeles Times Best Book for 2001. Ellroy lives in Los Angeles.
