INITIALED with personaised inscription by author on front free endpaper.The history of the 28th Battalion from its formation in April 1915 to its disbandment in 1919. Prior to this only a partial history by Collett published in 1922 had documented the 28th. The 28th fought on Gallipoli and was one of the first Australian units in France, fighting in most of the major battles on the western Front including Pozieres, Flers, Warlencourt, Bullecourt, Third Ypres, Lagnicourt, Morlancourt, Amiens and Mont St Quentin. The volume includes nominal roll, Honour Roll, awards and citations, POW lists and over 200 photographs, mainly from private collections and never before published.. Signed & Inscribed by the Author.
