Lincoln, Massachusetts, U.S.A.: Sewall Co. Series of 33 watercolors (Western Bluebirds) painted by R. Bruce Horsfall (a nationally known naturalist & bird artist) at his home in Portland, Oregon. Stoy text done by his wife Carra. These dramatic & charming works came to light after having lain forgotten for more than half a century in Portland's Audubon House Files. Good/Fair watercolor pictorial dust jacket has chipping at head & heel of spinestrip and at corners all repaired w/acid-free book cosmetic materials. There is a "half-quater" sized missing piece on lower left edge on the rear cover, there is a 2"x2" faint damp stain on the upper right cover corner and jacket has faint cover dust soil. Sturdy blue woven cloth boards w/stamped pictorial design, same as watercolor on cover, only traced etching are in Clean & excellent shape, owner's inscription is neatly penned on front endpaper, frontis watercolor, Preface by Kenneth C. Batchelder, Audubon Society of Portland. Artist Biography Sketch, Acknowledgements, 67 Clean, Crisp & Solid pp. VERY GOOD READING/POSSIBLE PERSONAL COPY. Alson Excellent for Prints. . Good.
