New York: Grosset & Dunlap. Vintage reprint. Hardcover. Very Good. 244p. A green cloth hardcover book in very good condition with a like dustjacket. Light shelf wear to the cover; owner's inscription on front endpaper. All pages tanned with age. Otherwise clean and tight. The jacket has some light edge wear and a toned spine, but remains mostly intact. Vintage reprint (ca. 1940s) of the 9th book in the Bobbsey Twins series. The front flap lists the titles through #34, THE BOBBSEY TWINS AT THE ICE CARNIVAL.
Sinopsis
From the book:"Oh, there comes my skate off again! Freddie, have you got any paste in your pocket?" "Paste, Flossie! What good would paste be to fasten on your skate?" "I don't know, but it might do some good. I can't make the strap hold it on any more," and a plump little girl shook back her flaxen, curling hair, which had slipped from under her cap and was blowing into her eyes, sat down on a log near the shore of the frozen lake and looked sorrowfully at the shining skate which had become loosened from her shoe.
