Two sets of male/female fraternal twins, Bert and Nan and Freddie and Flossie, are the principal characters in this series created by the Stratemeyer Syndicate and written under the pen name of Laura Lee Hope. The original series ran for 72 books, published between 1904 and 1979. 8vo size pictorial hardcover; 176 pages with green topstain and a few black and white illustrations "Returning home from a seashore vacation, the Bobbsey Twins see a circus train wrecked and witness an impromptu performance during which they are 'adopted' by a shaggy white dog who does tricks. The twins make an effort to locate Snap's former owner..." Bumped head and heel of spine, lightly bumped corners and some light soil to back cover. . Pictorial Cover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
