Sobre este artículo

New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1956. Originally published in 1944, this reprint is circa 1956. It is volume 37 in the series. Two sets of male/female fraternal twins, Bert and Nan and Freddie and Flossie, are the principal characters in this series created by the Stratemeyer Syndicate and written under the pen name of Laura Lee Hope. The original series ran for 72 books, published between 1904 and 1979. 8vo size pictorial hardcover with color illustrated dust jacket and illustrated endpapers; 213 pages with blue topstain. Full page black and white illustrations by Marie Schubert. The list of title both on the front flap of jacket and on a page within the book lists titles up until those published in 1956. As with many vintage books, the language and depictions used at the time, may not be acceptable today. From first page: " 'The gypsies are in town! Bert Bobbsey banged open the front screen door of this home and rushed into the hall. His twin sister Nan ran down the stairs... "I just saw them on the street. Wagon-loads of them. And lots of ponies and dogs, too!' " Edgewear, bumped head and heel of spine and corners. Jacket has wear, creasing and edgewear and is chipped at corners and top of spine and top left corners. Name and penciled price on fep, about a dozen creased page corners and creased rear jacket flap. Jacket has water spots visible on the blank reverse of front and spine. . Pictorial Cover. Good/Good. Illus. by Schubert, Marie. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
