March - April 1973. Slight browning to back cover through age. David Bomberg was born in Birmingham on the 5th December 1890, the fifth child of a Polish Jewish leather-worker. In 1895 the family moved to the East End of London; Bomberg was one of a remarkable generation of Jewish artists and writers, inmcluding Isaac Rosenberg, who grew up there at that time.
