First printing in this format, with a Foreword by Philip Hofer. One of 750 copies printed at the Crimson Printing Company. Laid in is a 14 October 1951 t.l.s. from Hofer to Fred Hilles presenting the book and responding to a publication by Hilles. The letter is a bit tanned due to proximity to the verso of the marbled wrapper.
