Oxford: Printed by the University-Printers, 1706 .. A very good polished leather binding. 7.25" x 4.75" x 1.5" (18.6cm x 11.8cm x 3.7cm). 8vo. Black straight-grained morocco, with gilt fillet border. Spine with 5 raised bands and gilt title: "Common Prayer". Edges lightly rubbed and bumped. All page edges bright gilt. Leather turn-ins with inner gilt fillet decoration. Marbled endpapers. Engraved title laid-down: "The Liturgy of the Church Of England... Sold by John Sturt... And John Nut..." facing engraved portrait of George Lewis, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland..." (also laid-down). Printed title present. 3 pages of "The Kalendar" carefully repaired with some loss to lower edges. Most other pages with clear text in double columns, just a few pafes with some loss (now carefully repaired). Plus a further 52 engravngs by J. Sturt (some trimmed and laid-down). Bound with: "The Whole Book of Psalms... Company of Stationers, 1706." ** N.B.: Queen Anne reigned from 1 May 1707 � 1 August 1714 . George I (George Louis; German: Georg Ludwig; 28 May 1660 � 11 June 1727) was King of Great Britain and Ireland from 1 August 1714 until his death in 1727.
