Each work with pages which are bright and clean and free of marking or soiling. Gift/ownership inscription to ffep "Elizabeth M. Raze Xmas 1883." Bound in flexible black straight grained morocco with gilt cross and "Common Prayer" to front cover. Both covers with double blindrolled borders and blindstamped crosses at corners. Spine with six compartments, each containing a blindstamped cross. All page edges brightly gilt. Yapp edges. Yapp edges lightly rubbed. Griffiths 1869/17. An excellent example of a Civil War Era Prayer Book in a well-executed and very unusual contemporary binding.
