Sobre este artículo
Oxford: W. Dawson, T. Bensley, and J. Cooke, 1797. Leather. Very Good Indeed. 6" by 3.5". None. A scarce late eighteenth century edition, bound in full leather with decorative gilt borders. With marbled endpapers. Direct from the library at Newton Hall, the 18th century country house and estate in Northumberland, with a pencil shelfmark to the front free-endpaper. The book of common prayer, and administration of the sacraments, and other rites and ceremonies of the church, according to the use of the Church of England; together with the Psalter or Psalms of David, pointed as they are to be sung or said in churches. Signed by J. Cook on the front blank and title page, and with ink notes in copperplate signed by the same on the rear blank. Reverend Joseph Cook of Newton-on-the-Moor, d.1844, was vicar of Chatton and Shilbottle, and held the estate at Newton Hall, Northumberland. He married Sarah Widdrington in 1786. In a full calf binding. There is very mild wear to the extremities, with only very mild edgewear and rubbing to just the spine. The binding is generally tight and firm, but eight leaves in the Morning Prayer are partially detached. Internally the pages are generally clean with occasional spots. There is slight browning. Very Good Indeed
