This is a shabby, small format (5 x 3 ¾) ; 120 pages) picture book, filled with three-colour illustrations by Charles Robinson. Published in 1901, a former owner has written her name and date (Christmas 1901) on the front free end paper, so this is a first or very early printing. The book is only in Good condition. The illustrated covers are intact, but show heavy rubs and handling, as well as a fold at the bottom right corner. . The interior pages have no tears or scribbling, but again show wear and handling. The attached scans should give a better idea of condition. Synopsis: Gives information about the various special days a child might know about, each illustrated by Robinsons. E.g, Monday -- Washing day; - -- May Day, -- Pancake Day; -- All Fool's Day; -- Michaelmas Day, St. Patrick's Day; -- St.George's Day, etc. It includes Dominion Day for Canadians, and Independence Day for the US.
