Handwritten notes at the beginning of the Apocrypha "FW Briggs, Eton College 1831; M.A. Hayes, Windsor Cloisters 1834" seem to indicate that this is 2 books bound into one. First Edition Thus. M.M. Noah & A.S. Gould, New York, USA 1840. ii + xxiv + 268 + 232pp hb ornate gilt full calf-leather with raised seams, aeg, front cover semi-detached, covers rubbed & scraped, pages browned, part of title label missing, contents sound, scarce book. overall good
