Limited Edition; Med. 4to; pp. [vi], 13, (1); title page printed in orange and black, three full page wood engravings by Anna Ravenscroft, bound in quarter orange cloth with patterned papered boards, title lettered in gilt on upper board, fine copy. The edition is limited to 200 numbered copies printed by David Vickers on Simili japon paper, this copy being number 96. The book of Ruth is included in the third division of the Hebrew Bible. It tells the story of the Moabite woman Ruth, who became the wife of Boaz, a wealthy kinsman of her former husband, and bore Obed, who, according to the final verses of the book was the grandfather of David.
