Good. 440 p., clean and unmarked except for signature of former owner on front end page; half leather with still bright gilt lettering between raised edges; marbled bords and end papers, binding firm but gutters cracked, Fine paper somewhat age-toned but strong, and not foxed. Leather covers slightly bumped; crack between spine panel and front board, but without detachment. Of course, the ill. are wonderful. With skillful repair this would be a treasure.
