London: John Camden Hotten, 1860. Hard Cover. Poor/No Jacket. Hardcover/ no DJ; Poor to possibly Fair condition. First English translation of this work by Martin Luther. Contents: xxxvii (Introduction) + 64 pages (Liber Vagatorum & Vocabulary); woodcut frontis prior to pg. 1, woodcut page decoration; 7.5 x 5.5"", green endpapers. Binding: Red board covers show rubbing (through to board, at edges), scuffs, soil. Front cover totally (& cleanly) separated from spine; spine separated from text block, but still attached to back cover- which IS still well attached to text. Gold spine title still crisp & intact. Front free endpaper, half-title page & page 63-64 also separated (but all are present). Rest of text pretty tight & well attached; clean w/ only v. light toning- no tears or foxing. Tissue protector on pg. 1 is clean & intact. This copy may be a good candidate for rebind, restoration and/or stabilization.
