Sobre este artículo

London : William Heinemann, (1971). First edition. The tenth volume in the series, as the "Dance to the Music of Time" enters its final movement. Austerity in post-war literary London, the eccentric and egotistical X. Trapnel, the rascally Widmerpool, now an M.P., and Pamela Flitton - "probably the vilest, rudest, most odious woman in fiction ... sulky, ill-bred, beautiful", as Elizabeth Harvey put it in a contemporary review. Crown 8vo (20cm). [viii],(242),[ii]pp. Original red cloth, blocked in black and lettered in gilt; a touch bruised, with some flecking, mainly to the edges of the cloth; top edge spotted, but a good copy in the Broom Lynne dust-jacket - a design in red, orange, black and white - just a touch darkened at the spine, with some minimal wear and a few spots, but just a single short nick and itself very good.

Sinopsis

Books Do Furnish a Room is a novel by Anthony Powell, the tenth in the sequence of twelve comprising his masterpiece, A Dance to the Music of Time. It was first published in 1971 and, like the other volumes, remains in print. The book conveys the atmosphere of post-war austerity in which the characters attempt to resume life before the intervention of the conflict.
